Dr Princess Rukasha is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and is passionate about delivering holistic care that integrates biological, psychological, and social aspects of health for her patients.
She completed her medical training from the University of Newcastle and University of Oslo before undertaking her Master’s degree in Medicine (Psychiatry) at the University of Melbourne. Dr Rukasha began her career as a general medical doctor in Tamworth before pursuing her great passion in psychiatry which she trained in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven region. She has also furthered her clinical experience as a psychiatrist in Tasmania and the Northern Territory. Her dedication to medical education is reflected in her role as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer with the University of Wollongong, where she provides clinical teaching in psychiatry to medical students.
Dr Rukasha has a special interest in psychotherapy and is passionate about furthering her expertise in this area. She completed her certificate of advanced training in psychotherapies through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
