      BELINDA POOLE holds a PhD in neuropsychology, a Master of Clinical Psychology, and an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Sydney. She is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and the Australian Psychological Society - College of Clinical Psychologists. She is also a passionate educator and Psychology Board Approved supervisor.


      As a therapist, Belinda is compassionate, non-judgemental, and empathetic and she endeavours to provide a safe and collaborative space for her clients. She has experience working across various sectors, including hospital settings, community mental health, and in schools. Belinda has a particular interest in working with people who have body image concerns and eating disorders as a result of her experience working in the Eating Disorder Unit at Wesley Hospital (inpatient and day program). She also has experience providing assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing a range of difficulties, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidality, perinatal mental health and parenting interventions, and burnout, stress and adjustment concerns. She has experience working with people that work in emergency services, medical and allied health professionals including psychologists. Belinda is fluent in Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN) and is familiar with deaf culture and community due to her experience as a CODA. She is also trauma responsive, neurodiversity affirming and queer friendly. 


      Belinda is passionate about personalised and evidence-based care and draws on a number of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy and Schema Therapy. She is also trained in CBT-E and SSCM for the treatment of eating disorders. In conjunction with her clinical practice, Belinda has a strong interest and passion for psychology research. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship with Growing Minds Australia and has since continued a research affiliation on a voluntary basis with The University of Sydney.
