Andrew holds and Honours degree in Psychology from Western Sydney University and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Macquire University. Andrew has experience in a variety of settings, including private practice, the justice system, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services.
Andrew believes that effective therapy is built on a strong therapeutic relationship, where clients feel understood, respected, and supported, and he has an empathic and collaborative therapeutic style. Andrew works alongside clients to deepen their self-understanding, and create meaningful, lasting change that aligns with their values and personal goals.
Andrew enjoys working with adults for a range of issues, including mood and anxiety issues, trauma, adjustment difficulties, addictions, interpersonal problems, and other psychological difficulties. He practises from several evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). Andrew uses an integrative, process-orientated, and pragmatic approach to ensure therapy is responsive to client needs, addresses skills deficits, reinforces strengths, and promotes personal growth.
