TRACY BURRELL holds an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of New South Wales and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University, where she was awarded the Clinical Psychology prize in her graduating year.

Tracy has worked at the Langton Centre Drug and Alcohol service in Surry Hills where she held research and case-management positions with clients recovering from substance dependence and comorbid mental health issues.

In private practice, Tracy has enjoyed over 12 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and children, to provide individualised assessment and therapy in the areas of mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma and dissociation, eating disorders, substance-abuse issues, as well as supporting people recovering from family and relational violence.

Her approach is collaborative and grounded in trauma-informed practice; integrating attachment and personality theory with evidence-based models of psychological treatment (CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT, and Schema Therapy, Circle of Security, and Mindfulness-based approaches).

Tracy has specialist training in EMDR therapy (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which has been listed by the WHO (World Health Organization) as a first line treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

She enjoys providing Clinical supervision to other psychologists, and is a Board Approved Supervisor for candidates in both Higher Degree programs and Registrar Programs towards Clinical Psychology Endorsement.

Current enrolments: Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) level 1 registration training, a process and systems-theory driven model for working with internal parts of Self.

Qualifications:
- Honours degree in Psychology from the University of NSW

Tracy completed her clinical training at Wesley Private hospital Eating Disorder unit; North Sydney Child Protection Unit; and Camperdown Mental Health Service giving her experience in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma and dissociation, eating disorders, substance-abuse issues, as well supporting people recovering from family and relational violence.
