Carla holds a Psychology undergraduate degree from Macquarie University, and an Honours degree from the University of the Sunshine Coast. She has had previous experience providing Neurofeedback and Neurotherapy for treatment of depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, ADHD, learning difficulties, and ASD. She has completed Neurofeedback and EEG analysis courses provided by Dr Moshe Perl and Prof Yuri Kropotov.
Carla has a strong interest in the use of using Neurotherapy to help those experiencing difficulties with emotional regulation, depression, trauma, sleep, cognition and memory. As part of her PhD, which is based at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney, her research looks to identify the relationship between sleep EEG, brain function and cognitive decline in older adults, and to trial novel treatments to improve sleep and memory. Carla is passionate about Neurofeedback therapy for children, adolescents, and younger and older adults, using treatment protocols based on evidence-based research.
