Jacky Peile graduated from the University in Sydney, and received a Dean’s Merit Award for excellence in Professional Practice. She has also undertaken additional training in Acute and Rehabilitative OT at St George Hospital, Therapeutic Listening (Modulated & Quickshift), SOS Approach to Feeding (for children with Autism and Food Science for older children), Core Connections and Trauma Processing with Sheila Frick, Willbargar Therapressure Brushing Protocol & Oral-Tactile Technique with Patricia Willbargar, Handwriting in the 21st Century, the ALERT Program for self-regulation, Static Splinting, Acute and Rehabilitative Care for Traumatic Brain Injury. She prefers to teach her clients the reasons why the occupational therapy activities are working so that they can understand how to adapt these new abilities to each different experience in their life ahead. Jacky approaches her clients with a healthy curiosity about what makes life tricky, and how the client (child or adult) thinks the challenge could be overcome.
